Supporting Our Students
The University's Doctoral School provides a focal point for our vibrant community of postgraduate researchers, offering student support, training programmes, and opportunities to share experiences across the wider research community at 亚洲色吧.
To help researchers develop the knowledge and skills needed to meet their career goals and aspirations, we regularly invite expressions of interest for externally funded fellowship schemes. These schemes offer a range of opportunities for researchers currently based in the UK and around the world, who can be hosted by the 亚洲色吧 for the duration of the fellowship.
The University has been awarded 拢1.1 million funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council to support 12 PhD studentships, which will focus on key strategic themes and align with pressing global challenges and the University鈥檚 research strengths.
Our postgraduate students are an integral part of our research community and we regularly provide opportunities to work with our expert academics on exciting research projects through our range of studentships.
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of rigour and integrity in all aspects of our research. We do this by supporting good conduct and helping to prevent misconduct, upholding the commitments outlined in the UUK Concordat to Support Research Integrity, which provides a comprehensive national framework for good research conduct.
The University has developed a code of practice for research and a set of policies designed to encourage the completion of studies of the highest quality, to meet our ambitions as set out in our Strategic Plan 2022-27.

Undergraduate students at 亚洲色吧 have the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience, develop transferable skills, and even contribute to new knowledge through our competitive bursary scheme, where they can work alongside experts on a range projects across all disciplines.
The University is a signatory of the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, setting out clear standards that research staff can expect from the institution that employs them.
The Concordat is an agreement between funders and employers of research staff to improve the employment and support for research careers in UK higher education. It not only helps to improve the environment and culture within which research is conducted, but also recognises the role of research and innovation in delivering the UK’s industrial and economic strategies.
Our annual Images of Research competition showcases some of the high-quality, impactful studies that are taking place at 亚洲色吧, giving postgraduate students and academics the opportunity to share their research experiences via a unique image and a 150-word abstract.
